but for quite some time we have had several customers asking us to produce very thick anti-slip materials for their application requirements, but achieving this has always led to many production barriers.

At the beginning of 2015 we made the decision to produce very thick anti-slip tape of 2 mm thick! This has resulted in us adapting the production machinery needed to handle the extra thickness of this material and investing in a new range of cutting blade holders to ensure we can make the thick Safety-Grip products with the same level of consistent quality as our current range of non-slip tapes that you have come to expect from us.

As of July 2015, we will be producing 2mm thick grip tape in one non-slip major grade, which is somewhere between standard and coarse, and is available in one color, black.

The new 2mm thick grip tape, which has actually been made a bit thicker by the adhesive applied to the base, now has a huge range of uses, especially the application in recesses to not only remove trip hazards, but also to improve the non-slip properties. improve the properties of walkways or stairs.

It is also used as a thicker material, mainly for recesses, ie rising above the surrounding metal or stone. When you think of our normal material, a recess less than 0.8mm deep is difficult to reach and unusual, a recess of 1.8mm or even 2mm is easy and very easy to reach with the very thick Safety-Grip tape.
Some people generally prefer thicker materials, boats are more likely to use 2mm thick products, it’s historic and also with floors made of sheet steel, the thickness provides cushioning.

Sizes

We can supply it in cut pieces or in rolls from 20mm to 1170mm wide and 18.3m long. Thick grip tape is available anyway at a very competitive price.
