High light output for more safety!
In general, it determines the ambient light (duration, quality and intensity)
on the spot what kind of light output should be applied.
In addition, the design of the escape route sign must comply with all applicable rules and regulations.

Illuminating with reflection | The combination of reflective and photoluminescent is completely excellent, making all products even more visible both during the day and at night. Even when no light is shined on them, they are visible in the dark (glow in the dark) |
The light output is measured in millicandela per square meter (mcd / m²)
To assess the performance of a pigment, we measure the light output of a specific area of the photoluminescent material with a calibrated measuring equipment to measure the light output (photometer), according to the measurement requirements of the DIN 67510 part 1 standard.
The light output is the photometer that people recognize as brightness, in other words the intensity of the light per area.
A light source with a defined light intensity appears to be brighter the smaller the area.
The luminance is calculated in candelas per square meter (cd / m²). Photoluminescent products are measured in millicandela per square meter (1 cd = 1000 mcd).
The relevant values are the measurement results after 2, 10, 30 and 60 minutes after the material has been charged.
The decay time is calculated up to 0.3 mcd / m². That equates to the 100 times theoretical value that human eyes can perceive.
